2011 Snowy McAlister
Success rolls on for the C4Waterman Australia ambassadors this past weekend with Glen Turner winning the 2011 Snowy McAlister Winter Classic.
The event running over 3-days had less than ideal conditons with yet another east coast low hammering the coastline resulting in wet and blustery conditions.
Glen and Beau won their respective heats early on in the weekend and then went up against each other in the semi's with Beau & Glen coming first and second.
The final saw some of the best standup paddle surfers battle it out consisting of John Christenson, Beau Nixon, Roger Saunders, Glen Turner, Mett Flemming & Jeremy Corne.
In very testing conditions Glen managed to paddle into the set wave of the day very early in the heat to cement in a solid score and leaving the others to play catchup. By the sound of the hooter and with a combination of another great wave Glen won the final with fellow team mate Beau Nixon claiming second.
Both Beau & Glen were riding the new C4Waterman 8'6 Batwing sup, manufactured here in Australia.
