The Australian Three Peaks Race has wound up at an unexpected location for a challenge to compete. The challenge has been made in the House of Representatives by Mr Geoff Lyons. Mr Lyons is the Federal Member for Bass who is an electorate covering North East Tasmania and he has made the following statement to the House on Monday, 23rd May 2011: 'I rise today to bring to the House's attention the Three Peaks Race, a major sporting event on Tasmania's calendar.
