Optimist Nationals, Saturday 11 January 2011. After a lay day yesterday, the competition returned today for day four of the 2011 International Optimist Australian Championships on Pittwater, with an overcast day and benign conditions the order of the day at the host club, the RPAYC. Unfortunately for the Open fleet the wind wasn?t as enthusiastic as the competitors, with the forecasted North Easter failing to eventuate and only one race was completed.
