Qatar 96 throttleman, Steve Curtis, says that he and Sheikh Hassan have to up their game in this week's BMW Norwegian Grand Prix, round 2 of the Championship.

Curtis and Sheikh Hassan, five points adrift of Fazza in the title race, grabbed two days of testing on the Arendal fjords earlier this week, as they look to take their first win from nine outings since teaming up in 2008. 'We have made several modifications since the last race so it was important for us to get some time on the water, shakedown the boat, check everything was in order and look at the data,' said Curtis. 'We have to move up a gear here in Arendal. The first race of the season was about bringing the boat home and getting points. We didn't push in Qatar, but here we will have to if we are going get ahead of Fazza and Matteo and Abdullah.

'The start here is all important. If you get out in front you control the race. Of course performance is going to be important, but with the new two-race format, reliability is crucial, a technical problem or a mistake in the first race will mean a big disadvantage in the second race, or missing out all together.'
