What really went on at the 2012 kiteboarding nationals?
It's taken a little while, but finally someone's released some lifestyle footage of the 2012 kiteboarding nationals in Alva Beach, QLD.
Normally, before the event is even finished there's movies and pictures broadcast all over Seabreeze.com.au. You feel both jealous because you're not there, and glad that you still get to see all the action, including the shenanigans that go hand in hand with the sport of kiteboarding.
Not this year though. Because there was no wind, there was little in the way of kiteboarding. Because it was in Townsville there was little in the way of partying. So nobody got any action, until now!
Thanks to Ewan, the little Naish rider from down south, we now have a little glimpse into what actually happened around the time of 'the nationals' that went down in history as the most windless ever. There's a bit of cable park riding, a bit of sight seeing, and something hairy that we probably wish we hadn't seen. Check out the video below, and make sure you make plans to be at the next event! Rumour has it that it will be in Sydney next year?
