Patrick Rebstock, formerly with Naish and Underground, has just signed with US based kiteboarding company Slingshot. The strapless superstar has taken to the new gear with a new found vigour - releasing a string of new media all over the web, showing off his fancy new surfboards. 

Slingshot kiteboarding was rocked last year when their two biggest names in surf, Ben Wilson and Ryland Blakeny defected to their own company, BWS. Since then, Slingshot has also been plagued by manufacturing issues resulting in a severe shortage of surfboards coming into Australia. All that's behind them now though - with the kitesurfing company firing on all cylinders coming into 2012. The addition of Patrick Rebstock has put them straight back onto the world stage, with Patrick being accepted as a wildcard entrant in the Real watersports Triple-S comp in Cape Hatteras this week.
