The Ocean Racing Club of Victoria will run its next Rip Tour on April 10. This guided training event goes through the main elements of safe navigation in the area and some of the pertinent historical facts. Conducted by exceptionally well-experienced sailors, the tour has become a favourite with not only sailors along with their family and friends, but also powerboaters, surfers, beach walkers and amateur fishermen. The infamous Rip is the narrow, 1.5nm stretch of water that separates Melbourne's Port Phillip from the equally world renowned, Bass Strait.
