Skandia Sail for Gold 2011 has seen Australia's Tom Slingsby bring about an eight point lead for the final day of the regatta in Weymouth and after finishing second in the Medal Race he comfortably won the gold medal. Tom Slingsby was the favourite coming into the Medal Race with both Andrew Murdoch (NZL) and Paul Goodison (GBR) looking for Slingsby to slip up but, he remained at the front of the fleet throughout the Medal Race to sail to his second consecutive ISAF Sailing World Cup gold medal following the Delta Lloyd Regatta.
