Barcelona World Race with just ten miles separating Virbac-Paprec 3 and Mapfre in terms of distance to the finish on Day 57, it's become a partnership bound by very similar wind conditions, courses and boat speed. Just over twenty miles lateral north to south separates the two. There still seems little in the way of weather obstacles or opportunities between them and the rounding of Cape Horn. This is a race which places a premium on forming and testing winning partnerships. Looking at the rankings two weeks ago, not many would have predicted that this top twosome would be locked ...
