Pedophilia
I've been meaning to post this for some time.

I watched the attached documentary many moons ago whilst researching pedophilia. Many of you already know about the experience I was unfortunate enough to undergo whilst at St Michaels boarding School in the Usambara's in Tanzania.

For those of you who do not, a brief pr?cis. At the age of ten I was fiddled with by one Brother Jackson. To cut a long story short a group of us were reunited through the internet which culminated in my being flown to the UK, at the expense of the Rosminians, where I spoke to Jackson and to Father Kit Cunningham who had ordered me to never mention what had happened.

The process was, for me, particularly cathartic resulting in a new lease on life. However this post is not about me but about the understanding and knowledge I attained about sexual child abuse during my investigation.

Lamentably for many hundreds of thousands of kids what I experienced pales almost into insignificance as I became aware not only about how common but also how alarmingly violent the phenomenon often is.

Too many children do not live to tell the story.

The subject reoccurs frequently as cases come to the public eye. The usual comments appear on blogs and the media in general, the bastards should be shot etc.. But unfortunately very few gain any understanding as to the reasons why some people are drawn to abusing kids.

I turn sixty in January and anyone who has lived over that era can attest to the change that society has undergone having lived through " the sexual revolution ".

Most of us of the same vintage will recall how "prudish" our parents were. One wonders how their parents would react were they to experience the present situation!

So how did this "sexual revolution" come about? And what, you may ask, does it have to do with child abuse?

Well the attached documentary makes a very very strong case toward answering that.

Now I am under no illusion as to the fact that sexual abuse has been around for centuries and has, in some cultures, been accepted as normal. Be that as it may, our culture has undergone a quantum shift and there is an explanation as to why.

In 1947 Alfred Kinsey founded the Kinsey Institute, funded funnily enough by the Rockefeller Foundation. In 1948 he published Sexual Behavior in the Human Male and in 1953 Sexual Behavior in the Human Female.

Human Events compiled a list of The Ten Most Harmful Books of the 19th and 20th centuries. Sexual Behaviour in the Human Male came in at fourth behind The Communist Manifesto, Mein Kampf, and Quotations from Chairman Mao.

Sexual Behaviour in the Human Male subsequently underpinned sex education in the United States, and probably everywhere else in the English speaking world.

It literally caused our society to perform an about turn in our approach to sex.

The frightening fact is is that Kinsey's research was flawed beyond the pale. The man himself was a pervert and pedophile and his findings were based on "data" he compiled from pedophiles and presented as "normal" sexual behavior.

The documentary goes to great lengths to expose this fraud which has had such a tragic effect on our society.

I recommend very strongly that anyone who has kids or grand kids watch The Kinsey Syndrome.
