NO ORDINARY DEMO
It has been a whilst since we have been able to showcase such a wide range of fresh new product.

There are enough new toys at this demo to give even Santa a run for his money.

Besides the usual fresh new swag from Naish, JP, Laird and SUP ATX, we will also have the latest boards from Tom Carroll, Lahui Kai and Sunova for your Demo'ing pleasure.

You have read the hype - now check them out for yourself. This new range of progressive boards marks a long journey of collaboration between Tom and Blane Chambers from Paddlesurf Hawaii. Beautiful boards that exude the passion for the sport that these two share.
This is a truly unique collaboration of boards that takes SUP performance to new levels.

Lahui Kai
These 3 boards were certainly getting some love down at Merimbula last weekend. This new range from Bran Szymanski
has his typical blend of performance, stability and speed. Starting at $2000 for a full carbon race board these boards give back in more ways than one.

SUNOVA
We're excited! The new range of boards coming from SUNOVA will set a new bench mark for performance, quality and weight.
Coming out of their own dedicated SUNOVA factory in Thailand these boards have a real hand made feel. Beautifully crafted from Balsa wood laminates they offer exceptional weight and quality of finish. The new range is due to land this week in time for our Demo next Sunday.

Von Piros caught up with Tino from SUNOVA recently to discuss their new range of boards and new Balsa technologies.

More details and a full list of demo boards to follow.

Lahui Kai Raceboards
Cool vid of Brian Szymanski talking in detail about the new 12'6 Lahui Kai Race.

This is the board that put everyone of their team (all Aussies) in the top ten at the BOP at Salt Creek last month and Lincoln Dews in 2nd place in the Technical/BOP race at the Aussie Nationals recently.

The 14' x 27.75" and the 12'6 x 27.75" are slightly wider than the Team Race ( at 26") offering a more stable and forgiving platform that anyone can feel comfortable on. All boards are triple carbon wrap.
These boards land in Australia next week.

Team Lahui Kai
With all the hype and tears to come out of the carnage that was the Battle Of the Paddle this year, there were actually some good vibe stories and one of them involved a team of Aussie paddlers - Team Lahui Kai.

This small but virtually unknown team is built 100% around a team of Aussie paddlers and is backed by SUP ATX RACING out of the USA. Every one of their team who competed came in the top ten in their respective classes at the BOP and both Lincoln Dews and Jayden Jensen narrowly missed out on getting podium spots.

The SUP ATX / Lahui Kai crew. From right to left: Brian Szymanski (shaper), Lincoln Dews- Aus. (4th in the Elite Race), John Becker (brand manager), Mick Di Betta -Aus (founder and trainer), Sondra Purser- Aus (9th), Jayden Jensen- Aus (10th) and Kelly Margetts - Aus (7th)

Team Lahui Kai also came second behind Naish in the highly coveted Teams race.

This hasn't gone unnoticed by the international press: www.supracer.com/2014-battle-of-the-brands/

So I reckon they deserve a bit of recognition down here.
Now with the Australian National SUP titles unfolding in QLD we see these names pop up again with Lincoln 2nd and Kelly 9th in the Open Technical and Sondra coming in 3rd, in the technical race. If their form continues we should also see their names come up again in the distance race.
Great to see a team of Aussies, almost unknown on the International circuit, doing so well both here and overseas.
