Just finished reading a book by Christopher Hitchens - 'God is not great (how religion poisons everything)'

Have been an anti theist (that's an atheist that not only doesn't believe in a higher power but actually thinks religion is harmful) since I can remember. I was never indoctrinated by my parents nor was I lead to the atheist path by them either, it's how my perception of reality has evolved with no influence.

Anyway, great book and displays the authors amazing intellect. I have always watched religious debates between Christopher Hitchens, Richard Dawkins, Sam Harris, Daniel Dennett and Lawrence Krauss and it would be interesting to know if any theists or deists out there have read the book or watched religious debate and have questioned their faith.

It seems a reasonable discussion point given the effect of fundamentalist religion is having on our world at the moment.
