It is not about what the police want is is about what the police should do to keep the general public safe

It cost $50 a year to have a gun Licence in NSW they should increase the fee to cover the cost of Random Drug and Alcohol checks. I have no problem with gun licences cost 100 times more than what they currently cost. The people who own the weapons should be responsible for the costs to propperly police them.

GPS Trackers are quite cheap and rugged these days they could be placed in the Butt of the weapon and in terms of cost that should be past on to the owner of the weapon

How often have you been randomly checked while on a hunt. Driving my car (another deadly weapon) I get checked on average three time s a year.

What is the penalty for modifying a weapon I can't seem to find it. The penalty for having a unlicenced firmarm is a maximum of twenty years imprisonment. If the minimum penalty was twenty years I think that would be a sufficient to deter criminals from owning guns
