Artificial Grass Synthetic Grass
Hello my name is Rhys I am the owner of Prestige Synthetic Grass the gold coast QLD. I came across this forum. And will tell you what you need to know I have been in the industry over ten years now.
This new generation of synthetic grass is a cut above the rest I have over 20different types of synthetic grass in every range of pile heights 40mm
35 mm. 30mm 25mm 15mm. Landscape desighns sporting putting green grasses. All 100% Australian owned and made. All our products come with a full 7year manufacturers warranty. And all products have a life expectancy of 30+ years
Don't be fooled by the extreamly cheap prices on eBay or gumtree as these are imported grasses and you will be lucky to get one year out of it.
Turf prices. Supply only
40mm $32-44per square meter
Putting surfaces ? $34-$50
All other surfaces $29-$45
Installation by a true professional.
Installation between $70-$90 per meter depending on what base is needed
For example.
Back yards and front yards inside your boundaries
Crusher dust base 75mm deep
Foot path needs minimum 75mm of road base. As cars will possibly drive on your foot path also beside driveways we use this base
It can be installed on tiles and also concrete .
You can not lay artificial grass over your original grass it must be and I want to be clear on this. The original grass has to be removed 80 to 100mm deep to make sure there are no grass roots remaining as I seen in another post someone said you still have to pull weeds out that is only due to poor installation. On our dig outs we make sure all grass roots are gone completely. We treat the base We lay weed matting down then we lay our Crusher dust and install drainage we screed the base make sure it is completely level and make sure we have the correct degree of run off we wet the level base slightly. Then we use a heavy plate compactor. Over the surface. We do a minimum of four passes with the compactor. Now the base is prepared.
For joints in your grass there needs to be a small gap 1-4mm between your pieces you need outdoor synthetic grass adheisive and fiberglass joining tape.
Trust me when you have a product with a life expectancy of 30+years. Base preperation and joints are critical our jobs you wouldn't even know it had joins in the grass it's that perfect final process is you need 25kg of Klein dried sand per square meter on top of the grass and use a machine called a power broom to brush the bristles up and Bush the sand to the base of the grass this what stops the grass from getting hot as I seen in someone else's comment it is only due to not being installed properly.
Our complete jobs sent hot under foot no matter what job it is
We do kindi gardens. Schools pre schools. It is perfectly safe for children.
We have rubber softfall tiles we can install under your artificial grass. For extra coushining I could sit here for days explaining how synthetic grass must be installed to get the true life expectancy out of your product. I have told you a fair bit about our installation techniques but I haven't told everything I wouldn't like to put myself out of busniess now

One more thing. If you have someone give you a quote and they are telling you they are going to put rubber pellets in the grass tell them not to worry about doing the job
The rubber they are putting in causes respratory problems in children. Only sand to fill the top. Only sand
