Ok, last night on the way home the kids wanted to stop off at a drive through fast food joint for a snack. When we arrived home part of the order was missing so I made a call. I did not receive a receipt though I did give the time and a summary of the order which was checked up.
I was offered to come back down for a replacement however a that time of the night and a round trip of 8kms didn't seem inviting. Then they said that they would send me out some vouchers to replace the missing item. Now I don't eat the crap that comes from the franchise so I asked if they could send me a cheque for the amount instead.
I was shocked that they weren't going to do it so I asked to speak to the store manager.
Long story short, went back down the following day and saw the store manager who said that the only thing he would do is send me a voucher.
NOT HAPPY JAN!!!
Now the question is , 'How far can I /should I take this."
As a matter of principle (although I talking about the grand sum of $5.85) I don't want to accept that I can't get my money back from the thieves.
I was considering taking the pricks to the Magistrates Court just to shove it down their throats.
What are my chances of a win?
