trouble with my carbon cedar fins, is I can't let them wear down to the timber, so every second/third session at Hardie's run requires a minor tip repair.
Not sure how it will work out, but here's the start of an attempt to stretch the time between repairs.

Of course when it does need repairing it's going to be a bigger job!!!

Any body got some spare tungsten???

getting tired of repairing tip leading edge every second session. (Sailing in shallow water has its downside!) This is the first experiment in reducing number of repairs, fair this off tomorrow and add some more carbon over the top, should just leave me with a gleaming stainless leading edge.
