Genetically Modified Salmon
Hello guys,
I have been looking around for fresh and healthy food for daily intake, including purchasing meat or fish at the local market such as Woolworths or Coles. However I just come across that all salmon here in Melbourne or probably in Australia are farmed hence it's prone to antibiotics, additives or other chemicals. While you don't die instantly after you consume it it doesn't mean it is 100% safe in the long run.
People are avoiding GM found in corn because there is fact that genetically modified product is harmful to our health, not to mention breakfast cereal cornflakes.
If you look other alternatives such as chicken, you can find free-range one on the shelf but those also are not organic. My question is, does anyone here know if GM Salmon is approved in Australia? I read somewhere US does not have this law therefore GM salmon is everywhere, 4-5 years ago I think Australia still considering but not too sure if GM salmon is approved now? Last but not least, where to find organic chicken and other natural food products (not can or processed) such as vegetables, etc.
Thanks all, cheers.
