Can you please help me out with a quick favour?
I need you to do something for me (VOTE!) and also wanted to see if I can do something in return...
I'm in a battle to win a big-wave voting contest called the Intense Surf Challenge. There's 15 big wave surfers from Australia who upload a new clip each month and then the public votes. Whoever wins gets a cash prize - the kinda thing that big wave surfers really need in order to chase the next big swell across the globe and get some cool photos and videos to share with the world!
The company behind it (Original Source) has put up a lot of cash for one part of the surfing world that gets a lot of attention but not always a lot of sponsorship money.. so we're all pretty stoked to be part of this thing and want everyone to support it.
But it's not just about us - if you vote then
you can win $5,000 and a trip to Fiji... Pretty cool!

However I didn't want to just come on here and say "Hey go vote! cheers!" and then disappear... I wanted to give something back in return.
SUP is one of those sports that has a real laidback grassroots feel about it... But there still seems to be a bit of a gap between the pros and the punters these days and it's going to keep growing as the sport gets bigger. So I want to give something back and figured the best way is share my time and give you a peak at what goes on behind the scenes in the world of professional SUP/big wave surfing. So feel free to...

For the next couple months I'm going to be on here
every day answering whatever questions you can throw at me. I don't pretend to be some Kelly Slater superstar but I have been fortunate enough to enjoy some pretty crazy adventures in the ocean. So if you wanna know what it's like to live in the water or what goes on behind the scenes when we're traveling then ask away...
PLUS for every 50 votes I get on the Intense Surf Challenge I'll come back to this thread and post a new big wave photo. I'll try and dig up a bunch that have never been released before so you get some exclusives! Maybe even throw in a couple of the crazy floggings that I've copped over the years as well haha.
ALSO... you can vote once per month. So if you vote this week you can also vote next week (when I'll have a brand new video up) and then again in January (when I'll have another new clip). January is the final month of the contest and hopefully the time when I pull ahead of Ryan Hipwood (who's way out in front right now!).
