perhaps I am a redneck (classic prefix - just like saying I'm not racist, BUT)

if you were a true escapee of terrible persecution and violence like the greens would have us believe all the refos are,
wouldn't you be happy that you are in good accomodation with three meals a day etc etc with your family safe while you await processing?. I mean if I was straight out of an african warzone where I had been the subject of terrible violence, famine and danger and then I had made it and my family was safe and all we had to do was wait out our turn watching tv, playing ping pong etc I think I could live with that. I reckon those people that rioted should all be told they just blew it and they can go live in PNG. 60 million dollars damage FFS.

I think the PNG solution is great. It will stop the boats. We give heaps of stuff to PNG anyway. To the greens who say "but what about their rights to education, health etc etc etc" well what about our duty of care encouraging people to risk their lives by a boat trip and PNG should still be 1000 percent better than wherever a true refugee has escaped from. Png has all of that anyway, probably better than where they are leaving.

And it's odd the greens are so hell bent on increasing our population, as it is inversely proportional to the health of our enviroment. I am a greenie in that I can see the effect of the ever increasing population has had on my natural area.
