Am about to get a new car AND a SUP .

Anyone manage to get their board into their car/ wagon?

Anyone fit a 10"6' to 11" in a Ford Mondeo?
Am I "dreamin'"?

Hoping to put SUP in car on days when I'm going out on my own, sans family
i.e. 5 days out of 7 opportunity.

Had a go getting board onto Pajero roof, but struggle with even when board only ~11kg (weedy, girlie arms yet to be improved by SUPing).

No SUVs.
Forester nice, but too small for 6"1' son in back seat.
Husband's car which is great if want more adventure.

Current car is VW Golf hatch.
Don't want to put racks on older car I'm about to trade.
Golf actually fits more gear seats down than Pajero 4WD due cargo barrier in 4WD.
