Dolls Point , Quibray Bay and Towra delivered perfect wind for the BIG AIR challenge on Botany Bay today. Massive air was achieved by a number of jumpers but without doubt Moritz took the trophy with the biggest jumps ever seen on the Bay. Estimating the height of a jump is always difficult but all who observed the jumpoff would have to agree that the winning jump by Moritz had to be close to 40 feet from the flat water .... awesome jump with a magic landing ....
not even the GALAH could match that one. And on another tack ... ...as mentioned by Moritz in an earlier post ... Friday at Dolls saw a number of kiters enjoy beer and pizza after another enjoyable NE kiting session. Thanks to the Southern Sydney Kiteboard Club secretary ..Cliff ... alias " The Hoff " for running around and organizing the feed and grog. Many more such sessions will take place as we grow the Club.
And thanks to Charls " The South African White Pointer " for his photography today .... Once we get ourselves organised for regular meeting nights we can entertain ourselves with some of the " movies " made by Charls and some of the other blokes who are regularly seen with their tripods set up on the beach.
AND the " WELL DONE " award of the day goes to Simon " One Pump " for his spectacular retrieval of Jonesy's Bow kite as it hurtled unattached in 30knots , down the river towards Caringbah - excellent job One Pump ... Marty also shares in the award for his very flash capture of a runnaway Bow kite that also had its sight set on a visit to the far reaches of the Georges River ...... what is it with these Bow kites .... they just don't want to stay attached to their drivers

. anyway lads it was great to see the mateship spirit of the Bay Kiters.
Bloody good day of kiting
cheers
