A surfing mate of mine has organised a trip to the Maldives 9-23 july.
He booked this thru Atoll travel. He reserved it for 14 persons . After 6 months of procrastination there are 10-12 committed and 2-4 free places.
It is a land based resort ..chaaya island dhonveli. You stay in your own bungalow.

Ive elected to go for 8 nights only 9/7-17/7..Costing me for accomodation , meals and airfares ( perth -maldives return singapore airlines) $4250 .

THe group is made up of mainly 50 yo males , a few 40yos, 2 wives , 4 sons 18 21 24 24 yo. THe majority of the group are short board surfers except myself and one other. Im taking a SUP . I went with some of these guys years ago to the Mentawais. Most of them I,d classify as experienced average surfers , a few good surfers. Somewhat unkindly but truthfully ,it would be fair to say "that some had lost a bit (lot) of condition" . I had done bugger all surfing before that trip but loved it so much that it converted me into surfing. Lying down on a board killed my neck hence my journey into sup. Good bunch of guys , fun to be with.
