How to punch through a bigger foam ball?
Hey Folks,

Just took my SUP out for the first time in some bigger waves than usual - it was about 4ft I guess and a fairly powerful wave (Muriwai on NZ West Coast), and I really had a hard time punching through the waves on the way out!

Any tips?

When I was caught inside on some of the sets I just tried to build up a little pace and punch my way through the foamball, but was getting bucked off. I got pretty close to collecting the board with my face a few times, the nose of the board was really getting pushed upward with a lot of power.

What is the best technique for getting out the back when its bigger than say, 2 foot?

Scored a couple of set waves though, a tiring experience, but still pretty fun.

Cheers
