I am chasing some advice from experienced Rottnest surfers.

I have just moved to Fremantle. I own a 4.2 meter aluminium Super Duck.
Powered by 30 hp 2 stroke , will do 30 knots in calm water with driver only.
Hull is stable but not so great in short chop.

I hope to be able to shoot out to Rotto , chase waves and maybe a free dive.

Is it realistic to try and do this and expect to be safe or am I dreaming?
