New 11m o.s. kite yahooo ;)
Got one!

Im a 80kg intermediate riding a 144 hammer. Usually in choppy onshore conditions. Great stable kite and it has plenty of tuning possiblities. The kite works a dream in 15 - 20 knots on the front line heavy rider setting. ( Actually Im interested to know how the 14m goes unhooked in light conditions) Havent tried the 11m in stronger wind yet but it feels like it has the potential to handle some more.

Very comfortable and fast to fly. Im very suprised how light the bar pressure is compared to the Vapour and Rev kites I have flown. The kite takes little effort to turn and spins on a dime with out much fluttering.

Jumps pretty good. To get height I find I have to ride really fast and send it! It hasnt got huge hang time but feels comfortable for me to try some wake style stuff close to the water, without flying to the moon.

Upwind is great. I recon it goes better upwind on the heavy rider settings. The kite really cuts through the gusts well and Im suprised how well the depower works for a C kite. It seems to have more depower than most kites I have flown in this size. Especially straight out of a hard turn and pushing the bar out theres almost nothing, so it could be good wave riding.

Relaunch is good. Im already able to relaunch a kite fairly well and have had no difficulty doing any style of relaunch I am currently used to. Just pulling on 1 line relaunches the kite easily from the leading edge down. I feel confident with the 5th line too. Good security system. Really simple and seems to work great when I tried a practice release on the beach. I did have to adjust the stopper ball on the 5th line as it was far too long and the kite was flying.

New guys are good guys too. I wasnt smothered with sales talk. I have spoken to many different shop people about different kites, tuning and design ra ra ra. Talking to someone who has good knowlege of the gear really impressed me.

All up Im pretty amped on my New kite! Im a goofy footer so cant wait to make it over to Geraldton this summer to ride some left hander waves.

fth line length setup
as I wait patiently at the emergency ward to get a few stitches thought I might as well post a safety tip...

found out today that the 5th line length shouldn't float the kite when its released to it.
better to have it sit upside down on the water for it to relaunch safer without it doing odd crazy loop stuff when going to grab the bar .. the bar ripped out of my hand with the qr gorging my palm in the process....looks like miss palmer aint going to be getting much action over the next couple of weeks. lol.

anyhow moral is adjust my 5th line so kites lays on water in the future...would have launched better ...faster...easier even in the gusty sw crap as it was today.

btw ..is there any realy good painkilling drugs I should ask for...stuff you take but can't drive after....

NEW recommends setting up your suicide leash in under 20 knots like pictured. Over 20 knots suicide leash isnt recommended. The load tested leash passes through the Neutralizer 5 ring then around the depower loop. The depower range is covered in plastic so it wont wear out. If you find your self tangled with another kiter simply open the loop and instantly your kite will be completely flagged. From here your able to reassemble the loop and relaunch in the water. Takes minor skill, less skill than riding upwind.
