Just a reminder that this Tuesday marks the last of SUPSA's Summer Twilight Series for the 2012/13 season...



Here's a summary of the 4km times so far...

I don't have the Week 3 results at hand, but we're pretty sure the course wasn't the full length in Week 3 so the times won't count to the totals, but if you were there your attendance will count towards the minimum 5 races to be eligible for the series most improved prizes. Also Week 4 times have been adjusted to a '4km' time as the course was only 3.8km that week.

I've highlighted in blue those who are definitely eligible for series point so far (excluding weeks 3 and 8). If you have paddled in more than one board category throughout the series (eg. 14' and 12'6"), your 'improvement' is calculated only relative to each board class, but you're still eligible for prizes if you've attended 5 rounds in Total.

The 2km results are still coming and there's been some pretty solid improvement in some of our newer paddlers doing the shorter course, so don't get too excited about your position from these results



Great to see that we've had 47 paddlers (not including the kids) throughout the 6 rounds i've got results for, plus plenty of other supporters turning up to watch each week! Would be awesome to see you all there for the finale on Tuesday night.

Due to popular demand and feedback from our members, we have relocated the time trials back to Tallebudgera Creek.

Meet at Kevin Gates Park, Awoonga Ave, Koala Park.
5-5:15pm for a 5:30pm start.

As many of you are aware the aim of running the time trials at Varsity Lakes was to have a venue as central as possible to make it accessible for our members across different areas of the coast and also to have minimal tidal influence to make times in each round comparable (although paddling into and against the tide on an up and back course should hopefully even this out). The series commenced at Tallebudgera Creek as there was a delay in Council issuing a permit for Lake Orr. Since moving to Lake Orr, we have had feedback from many members expressing their preference to paddle at Tallebudgera Creek, so we have taken that feedback on board and will be running the remainder of the Series back at the Creek.

Round 6: Tuesday 22nd January
Round 7: Tuesday 5th February
Round 8: Tuesday 19th February

Here's just a reminder that the SUPSA Twilight Paddle Series kicks off tomorrow.

There's been a change to the venue due to recent changes to Council's permit structure pending further assessment.

New venue: Tallebudgera Creek meet at Kevin Gates Park, Awoonga Ave, Koala Park Tallebudgera

Time: Meet 5-5:15pm for 5:30pm start

Proposed course: 2km and 4km options over a 2km course (shorter course option available for children too)
