2012 PSH hull ripper
Hi guys,
Recently purchased the new 2012 8'9 hull ripper, this board is so much fun to surf!
fast, turns on a dime and glides over whitewash.. it did take a few sessions to get my foot placement right, no margin for error with these boards!
Although it surfs great there are a few things I'm disappointed with.
1.handle placement is too far forward, totally unbalanced making it annoying to carry.
2.Same old crappy fins! I know it's been said before but it still s***s me, Just ordered some SA4's to try out.....
3. chips very easily
4.the new board construction is vacuum bagged PVC.
I have noticed after only 5 or 6 sessions the deck is compressing quite badly! The made in china sticker on the tail did make me a bit nervous, I have owned 2 previous PSH boards and this has never been an issue.
I cant find any info or reviews on the new board construction but I would love to hear wether other people have experienced similar problems with the 2012 or earlier hull ripper models.
I love Surfing PSH boards but not enough to put up with a dodgy build .
as my dad used to say... you cant polish a turd!
