Nature vs Nurture
My parents took me from Victoria to Western Australia and resettled there when I was 3 years old.
In 1982 a carton of beer could be bought for about $12 and an airfair to Melbourne was about $1200.
In 2010 a carton of beer could be bought for around $40 and an airfair to Melbourne at about the same price .
At the tender age of 35, I have just met 2 of my counsins for the first time.
Interestingly, whilst one of my cousins started out in a different career to me, we have both ended up doing basically the same job.
I have read a lot about "twin studies" and I love books on anthropology, but this has hit home that genetically there may be some disposition to certain career paths and family liklihood. I am now wondering if this is more than a coincidence?
