The council has been doing a bit of work on Stokes Point, where the Barwon meets Lake Connewarre, before going back into the Barwon, towards Barwon Heads.
They held a community day a while back, to get community feedback.... but my lazy bum was too lazy to get along.... anyway, they have gone and spent some money, and put in two really nice big viewing platforms (not in photos), and did stuff all to the boat ramp.... fingers crossed they add some Timber Pontoon or Jetty Launch points.... They finished their work at the waterline at the boat ramp, leaving plenty of the original submerged rocks !!
Anyway, I had a nice paddle this afternoon, checking out all the water flowing into the lake.... it is flowing in from everywhere at the moment.... good fun doing stationary paddling into flooded streams, then planting the paddle to get spun around....
Plenty of swan ducklings, and google informs me this;
- What Is A Female Swan Called? A baby swan is called a 'cygnet' or a 'signet'. While a male swan is known as a 'cob', the female is known as a 'pen'.
