We are living in interesting times...It's been an eventful first half for 2020.

The World is in disarray and distracted with Covid-19.
Economies have crashed. There has been mass protests and unrest across the western countries.

China is picking fights with it's neighbours.

Taiwan - China has long claimed this territory. Are they planning to invade Taiwan soon? Taiwan for it's part, has prepared itself for an invasion and armed itself with a few hundred F15s (I'm thinking Kamikaze here....) and hundreds of more potent missiles.

Hong Kong - Mass protests against Chinese authoritarian laws.

India - Bloody fights with iron bars and rocks. Both sides are now amazing troops on their border. Last week the US Congress passed a bill to supply India with F35s.

Australia - Hit by Chinese tariffs and cyber hacking (cyber warfare). Australia now spending big ($270B) to arm itself with long rage anti ship missiles, early warning systems, intelligent sea mines etc. But what about are those Subs Mal????
Scomo obviously thinks that we are heading for war - likened it to the period in the 1930s with multiple comparisons to Nazi Germany prior to WW2.

Vietnam, Philippines - disputed territory in the South China Sea atoll/military base.

US has sent two aircraft carrier fleets into the South China Sea. Chinese state media has stated that they are able to take out the Aircraft carriers "at their pleasure". Hmmm....Them's fighting words!

The potential for a miscalculation by any one of the parties is huge.
