I´m new to the sport and would like some advice what board I should buy... ( yes, THAT question again... )

When I first saw SUP I made a paddle myself and tried to stand up on my old windsurfing slalom board... It didn´t work...

So, I build a board from a foam block and epoxy. The result was ok, but the board is pretty slow and I have named it "Pearl" for a reason...

The spec. for the board is 9" 3' x 29' and my weight is 143lb. I have no problem paddle this board and wonder If I should go with this length? Most boards I have seen are longer.

The conditions were I live is mostly slow waves maybe around 1-3" high and it's allways windy when there are any waves.

My local shop have these boards;
Southpoint Timpone/Kalama S.U.P 11'6
Southpoint Bonga S.U.P 10'0"
NSP S.U.P 11'0"
Walden Magic S.U.P 10"10'
Naish 11"6' and 10"6'

Are any of these boards good? The NSP and Walden are those boards that would fit my economy best.. Have anyone tried these boards?

Well, to sum what I'm asking; Are 10-11 feet to long for a guy of my weight? Are there any board that I'm listing better than the others?
