Senator David Leyonhjelm is making a complaint to the Human Rights Commission over the article by veteran Fairfax journalist Mark Kenny, which described him as an "Angry White Male".
Interesting enough though, the good senator declared that there is no need for any form of rule to reign in abusive, offensive comments and name calling. His reason is very simple. "It is only offensive if you decided to be offended by the abuse". In other words, if you have thin skin, or fallen out of bed at the wrong side, then there is nothing offensive about a total stranger having a go at you.
I recall The Chasers caught him outside his home after a bike ride. As per usual, The Chaser made a few unpleasant smart-ass comments. The good senator took offence and told them to "F off". It appears he does get offended quite easily
