Seabreeze, are transgender women really real women?
I've been traveling the internet lately and I've run into an issue that's all over Twitter. It sure is confusing me! So I'm reaching out to the brains-trust..
First, we need to get up to speed on some recent events..
Caitlin Jenner is about to win a magazine award 'Woman Of The Year'..
www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-3264919/Another-award-shelf-Caitlyn-Jenner-set-honored-Glamour-magazine-s-Woman-Year-taking-secret-photoshoot-December-issue.html Here she is..
Now not everyone agrees with this, as you may notice, in the above picture, to the untrained eye, she looks suspiciously like a man..
Those who hold this above view, are currently being labelled ignorant, misogynistic and or bigots.. Even worse, the dreaded TERF..
What's a TERF? (Trans-exclusionary radical feminist, of course)
rationalwiki.org/wiki/Trans-exclusionary_radical_feminism Germaine Greer has been accused of being the TERF, and she's being 'No-platformed' at universities because of it..
www.huffingtonpost.com.au/2015/10/25/germaine-greer-trans_n_8382428.html?utm_hp_ref=australia This has become a trend lately, Universities have started generating 'Safe Spaces' (think, the total opposite of Heavy Weather), where students are blocking those who don't hold the correct ideas..
Elsewhere, the time traveler Jon Oliver, has done his repeated skit 'it's 2015 people, you're on the wrong side of history'.. From what I can gather, he's declared transgender rights the new issue so obvious that only a bigot would not be 100% on board..
So anyway, here's some questions..
1. Is a man who transitions into a woman a real woman?
2. If this is a legitimate procedure, should people be able to claim it on medicare?
3. How young should someone be able to transition (the earlier they transition, the less manly they get which means an easier transition)
4. What toilets should they use?
