I had a major operation on April 8 and fortunately the prognosis is for a full recovery.
All has gone well and I hope to be on my boat next Saturday and Sunday as a passenger of coarse.
The doctor had said very little alcohol for six to eight weeks.
As I enjoyed a few wine every night, my reaction was "thats not going to happen"
But after my operation I did not feel like drinking and now its been nearly a fortnight without a drink.
The point I want to make is I feel a lot better for not drinking and am not missing it.
I find a glass of tonic, lemon and ice is fine with dinner.
I do think the benefits of not drinking for me are many.
