How much of downwinding is fitness?
So I cracked out on a 1M foil and hooked it up to my mololo thinking I had the mother of all downwinding setups.
Nope.
now I have been going out in all weathers and hitting the gym like a mofo for months now but there's no way I could get this setup flying on a swell.
Now I didn't actually downwind - I paddled out agains the wind and turned around so maybe I was missing the whole momentum of several waves one after the other?
Also Is the board just too heavy? Unless I am on something breaking I just can't get it up.
how do you know when you have enough go to start pumping and paddling -?

Show us your foiling setups
chopped down (nose and tail) 8'3 to a 6'10 and converted for a 90mm plate setup..
Naish malolo foil with a wedge under the plate to get board/foil angled rite..
Shes a little getto with the primer but works a treat especially at the local hollow beachies, does struggle a little in the fat stuff tho..
Had a few sessions on the north/fanatic protos and will leave a review once get hands on the production stuff..
