900 metres offshore thanks for the boaties for escorting back into the sound. didnt require assistance but thankyou everyone for the rescue effort and the support.
I was on a 4.5 sail broken clean in half above third batton and was just about trimming with half a sail on the way back in.
Been in the same wind further out and had to emergency detach.
Im not sure if getting airbourne in that wind is a good idea,
Thank god The importance of wearing a GAFF .....




And to the boaties if i was in that much trouble i would of detached my sail..;-S again....
didnt scare us...A big thankyou for the support of local boaters.. And the fambily who greeted us at the beech in 4wd and was asking if i need to phone anyone.
