Today we had a couple of Oyster injuries at Dorans, something not talked about for at least 7 years.
Thanks to a dedicated crew about 5 years ago we had a blitz one afternoon on a low tide and removed about two tonne of oysters from the main launch area at Dorans ( about 50-75 metres long ).
Unfortunately, not sure why but there has been a massive influx of smaller oysters in the last 7 months that are very sharp! , taking over the entire area that all windsurfers use to launch/ retrieve close to the shoreline.
TODAY we had a deep foot cut and a back cut through a wetsuit. Both sailors are fine just annoyed!

It is worth all getting together on a set date and having a blitz!!!!, 20 people would nail this problem in about 2 hours.
Date will be posted on this forum , everyone who enjoys Dorans should help, it would be a disaster if it ended up like the Oyster reef at Cremorne Lagoon.

At the moment looking for a low tide in Spring. We would like everyone to participate if they can.
