Regardless of whether or not paid parental leave is lacking or not in this country, and regardless of whether the LNP has got its funding right, this policy is insane.

The reason being is that the money comes from the Government and is handed out based on your income; the more you make the more you get.
Welfare where the richer you are the more you get.

pre-emptive: yes it comes from a 1.5% company tax (that cancels out a 1.5% cut) but the government coffers are pooled. You and I contribute more money for a rich person's welfare than we do for a poor person's.
