Why is it?
Why is it that regular contributors on here, the majority of whom come across as reasonably intelligent and rational human beings, cannot see past the facade of our political system?

There is constant banter, often degenerating into vitriolic attack, between the left and right, between the supporters of one or the other sides of the political system. At the end of the day all that the vast majority of people want is a rewarding and fulfilling life, to be meaningful contributors to our societies and families.

Like it or not most of us wind up having to scrap for a living to the extent that we don't have sufficient time to care for our loved ones nevermind putting things to rights.

Perhaps because people are so indoctrinated by our society they cannot see over the wall?

Virtually every political decision that is taken is done so with prime regard to the cost. And the cost is reliant on the provision of funds from entities outside of anyone's control. Yes, private entities, although many on here will argue that. Regardless, the decisions by our politicians to solve issues are made at the behest of people who control the funds.

It should be within everyone's capacity, particularly those who work for a living, that the people who control the funds are the people who have the upper hand. They are effectively in control.

Therefore it is really futile arguing for either side of the political board game.

Left or right, they are both wings of the same bird. And they endure constant manipulation by the fund managers.

Yet people cannot see through this deception.

And it is a deception. If you don't think it is ask yourself this. If you and your community were to inhabit newly discovered uninhabited and reliably isolated land with sufficient resources to inhabit those lands would you institute a system where you relied on another group of people to provide you with "money" in order to go about your business?

Or would you perhaps set up a system of administration comprising wise people whose goal it was to set about achieving the aspirations of the people within your community?
