I've for long wondered about the abject failure of the Australian education system. Having raised three kids in Australia and having had the opportunity to compare my own education with theirs I know that I speak with some authority.

Anyway on the weekend I listened to Alan Jones interview Sharon Thomson Iserbyt on her book " the Deliberate Dumbing Down of America". I downloaded a PDF version of her book for free from her website.

It makes very disturbing reading.

Naturally when one reads material like this one has to do so with a healthy degree of scepticism. Fortunately this lady has done meticulous research and sites countless government documents to back up her conclusions.

If you have any family with kids, or kids of your own this book is an absolute must read.

It will change your perception of education forever.
