Not sure whether this is the right forum but Im so friggen sick of todays mums and dads and their attitudes to how their world is!!!!!!!!!!!!!
For example, our small local shopping centre (IGA, bottleo, take away etc) is a great example of how people don't give a **** how they park and inconvenience others. They drive in the out exit because they couldn't be bothered to drive the extra 50 meters to come in the right entrance. Then park half in a marked car spot and pop off to grab a few things. So I come in, park in the right way and then get looks and comments when they struggle to get in their door.
One dummy mummy piped up with "How am I supposed to get in my car?"
My response "Have some respect and park properly and think of others"
This was met by "Ive got kids and Im in a hurry"
This was met by "I couldn't give a ****, your not special and you need to have a good hard look at yourself"
Comeback, "Ill get my husband"
Retort, "So go get him, he is probably banging some dumb arse across the road"
Silence.
Today Im out windsurfing. Come in for a break. 10 to 15 kids all playing on the shore. Super careful how I get ashore so don't scare them or give windsurfing a bad name. 3 young boys about 6-7 all start wading towards me. I stop, say to them "watch out guys, don't get in the way" Ignored by kids and parents who are standing on the beach having drinks.
So I say " I need to go through here and I don't want my sail to hit anyone" Blank looks from Mr & Mrs Plod so I carefully walk my gear onto the shore. 2 kids deliberately stand in front of me going "can we have a go mister?"
Having had enough I quietly mutter "Get out of the bloody way"
Straight to mummy. Then hubby comes over after I have put my gear down on the grass.
"Whats your problem?"
"You are you peanut. You could see I was trying to come in and your kids are all over the shore. I did the right thing and was polite at first. So I see you just stand there and like most of this generation do nothing"
"My kids are just playing"
"True and I have no problem with that but I did the right thing so you and your couldn't give a **** friends expect everyone to make sure you are alright with no consequences. Give yourself an uppercut and realise you aren't the only people on the planet"
A few more wandered over. "Mate, why are you being anti social?"
"I tell you what, say the places were reversed and what would you do?"
Lots of muttering etc. Then one bright spark pipes up with "we are visitors to this area and have payed our parking fee so we have rights"
I lost it. "So are you special cause you payed $6 bucks and have an attitude? Why don't you **** off back to where you come from, take your obnoxious rug rats, your "housewives from hell" and clean up your mess before you go"
Then it comes down to the old ways.
"So what are you going to do about it?"
I said, "Don't let fear hold you back dickhead"
Lost of rumblings etc and that was it. Nasty glances from said group as they packed up. Guarantee the council guys will have to clean up their litter tomorrow.
I mean, seriously, WTF is wrong with people these days??
Sorry for the rant but Im sick of no decent values and consideration for people these days. Put a downer on a nice arvo's windsurfing.
