I hope I don't step on anyone's toes by posting this...
Since starting windsurfing, I have had quite a few nosejobs on my 2 boards. The first couple times, I was really upset, and got the professionals to fix them. They did a great job for a reasonable price considering the time and effort and materials required. Let alone their expertise. AT THIS POINT, if you have a nice board, and can afford it, please stop reading my post now and get it fixed professionally!
My frustration set in when I continually damage the boards (I think being 68kg and learning the harness & straps was the main cause). So I decided I better learn to fix them myself. I started off by using knead-it, and have progressed to learning to work with Epoxy resin and fiberglass. To the point that I am enjoying fixing the boards when the wind is not blowing and in my spare time.
So, if someone is in a tight spot, and don't mind an amateur job of getting your board fixed, I may be able to help. I must make it absolutely clear that I am NOT a professional, and cannot perform the job of a professional!
