Considering the lack of wind on the past weeks, i reckon few windsurfers had the occasion to go to the northern car park at Kyeemagh. So for those of you who didn't, I though you might be interested in seeing that:

The proposal is to turn the beach we go on NE into an off-leash area. I find that a bit weird (it's a beach and it's packed with people in summer, windsurfing aside). The area is currently a dog prohibited area (according to the sign there). There was a petition at the C side restaurant, but I don't really think the council will listen much. Still, I thought that was worth reporting here.

is there much difference in the quality of boards at the lower and higher $$ end's of the scale? obviously this is the case with a lot of things. but is $500 or $600 more, going to get a board of significantly better quality? or are you just paying for the name?

in looking at boards i've had one place suggest an 11' NSP (around $1300), while another place has suggested a Naish or Starboard 10' or 10'5" (around $1800). i have no issues spending more if it really is worth it.
