Got an opportunity to go away for one week in June.

Background:
Live in Melbourne - it's going to be a freaking cold winter, need to get some sun.

Question:
Australia or OS?

Rules:
Beach holiday
Indonesia is out (don't ask)
Gold Coast, Byron Bay (been there too many times, not interested)
No more than a six hour transit - fly/drive.

Nice to have:
Be great to get a few waves
Doesn't have to be warm/hot - but sunshine is good.
Uncrowded/not a big tourist destination.

Scotts Head is on again
23rd 24th June 1pm on Saturday 10am on Sunday so make a weekend of it
put on as a fun dw and bop race
all ages catered for
Stand ups ,skis, clubbie boards
note Sups do there own race on Saturday and Sunday BOP races
entry is $25 per race with a drink and Snag thrown in
plus $5 goes into your age group to make a bit of spending money for the first 3 in each age group ,plus there will be random prizes on the table after the races
Star Board will have there demo trailer there
bring the family ,dog ,sups what ever come and have a good time on the Mid North coast of NSW 1hr south of Coffs Harbour
