Seabreezers, I'm in the market for a new SUP as I feel it's time to step down from the excellent Naish 9'6". I was considering the Naish 9'3" but a mate beat me to it and I can't have the same as him (again).

Initial ideas are the new 9' Naish (the one to replace the 8'10" and 9'3" but I don't know anything else about it), Fanatic 9' (which looks good from the pics) or maybe a DC?

Key thing is I want a shortboard template - not the fuller nosed fish style.

FYI, I'm presently about 90kgs, balance is ok and I found the 9'3" had plenty of float.

Any recommendations? Any other brands I should look at?

after testing a few different sub 9/0 sups
i settled on the 8/6 wide ripper from paddle surf hawaii
and after surfing it for the last 2 weeks it gets better with every surf .
ive ridden it in double over head waves and 1 ft dribble !
i was surprised how stable and how easy it catches waves
it turns verticle with ease and loves the critical part of the wave
the rocker and nose lift work well blane chambers really knows his sh#t

what blew me out , was how well it went in solid juice, fast , loose & controled
then in tiny stuff it caught waves and turned unreal !
i would recomend this board as a great all round board in lots of different conditions
one very stoked supper !!!!
