My repair efforts following my brothers effort on a 130lt board with 5.0m sail in near on 28kts. He reliably informs me his speed was approaching that of sound ... so the additional momentum gained from being hurled forward of the board still travelling at speed [b][i]MUST[/i] [/b] be the cause of the \"sonic boom\" he heard just prior to hitting the water. I suspect it may have been the boom hitting the board.. but who am I to shatter the cheesy grin of fantasy...
