The 2015 Women's Stand Up World Tour is set to get underway with the first event, the Turtle Bay Women's Pro, kicking off on the famed North Shore this week. Today has been called a lay day due to unfavourable winds, but keep an eye on the Waterman League event page for live coverage throughout the week.

For the first time since the women's tour began, there's a trials event set to precede the main event, a great sign of growing participation in the women's side of the sport.

Good luck to multiple Aussie champ Shakira Westdorp who'll be making her first assault on the SUWT.
