I only know wich board brand the 4 first were using
Each category started 1’30” apart, unlimited going 1st then 14’ then 12’6”
A bit of a pity because it would have been interesting to see if rico and eric could have stayed close to chuck had they been together from the start
Amazing performance from Eric Terrien on a 12’6. He is from canary island and for those who are not into winter sport, Nidecker is a Swiss brand manufacturing snowboards. Eric is the one developing the SUP for them apparently they are not too bad.....
And thanks to Rico to come after wining the surf tandem comp part of the world tour on saturday 600km from there in the basque country, driving at night getting here at 6am and then sleeping in his car before the midday start!
Imagine if chuck had not been here on a 17’ it would be hard to explain why buying a long SUP, the 2nd unlimited comes more than 5 minutes behind eric, rico and kurt!!
It’s all about the engine....
Apparently the week end was fantastic and the organisation perfect. It will be on next year again, if anybody is in europe it’s worth getting there.
It’s ½ hour from Cannes and just after the movie festival so you if you have a gopro movie of yourself you might even want to send it to the jury

here is the start of saturday's short distance with eric terrien (nidecker 12'6) in front of chuck patterson (hobie 14')
