For those of us wishing to use our SUP to fish, the addition of an electric motor makes a huge difference. But the 'shop' mounts are quite expensive. I made my own for about $40 using plywood. It goes the same for the outrigger kits which can cost $5-600 or more. Mine cost $75. The materials are all available at your local hardware store. My seat is an old ammunition box I found in the shed. I trialled my 'kit' at Wivenhoe dam and it worked great. You do need calm conditions and no wind though. Don't waste your money on expensive kits - you can do better making these things yourself and it's a lot more fun.
