Some advice would be great....

Only ever travelling to Hawaii with surfboards previously, I'm contemplating the merits of carting a SUP to Waikiki (and road trips to North Shore / Makaha etc) in April / May or hiring boards whilst there.

I'd prefer to be on my own board as most of us would but the thought of excess luggage costs, airport transfers, hotel storage has got me wondering whether it's worth the hassle when hire boards would be available for the most part.

Also, any knowledge of baggage fee's for SUP's travelling Hawaiian Airlines from / to Sydney ?

Would really appreciate any comments or feedback.
